We upgrade simulated VHF communications systems from 25KHz to 8.33KHz channel separation. This normally involves replacing the VHF communications controllers, modifying the wiring and adding host computer software. We are familiar with the upgrading of parallel tune, serial tune and Radio Management Panel (RMP) types of VHF communications controllers. For Boeing aircraft, we usually use Gables controllers and for Airbus aircraft, we use Sextant RMPs.
